Stainless steel tubes have been widely used and in various fields in recent years because of their high strength, weldability, corrosion resistance and other excellent properties. However, due to the particularity of the structure of the long stainless steel tube, there is a problem of difficult processing in the inner surface of the steel pipe, which seriously affects the application scope of the long stainless steel pipe.Previous studies have shown that the long stainless steel tube is strengthened by magnetic force grinding after magnetic grinding, and the internal surface strength and surface roughness of stainless steel tubes are effectively improved. In the study,it is found that the magnetic rolling process is still poor in processing stability, which is mainly reflected in the following:(1)the strengthening effect of the inner surface of the stainless steel tube specimen after processing and the effect of the finishing are sometimes inconsistent.(2)During the rolling process, the vibration caused by the rolling of the rolling tool produces larger noise, which reduces the stability of the inner surface strengthening effect of the stainless steel tube specimen.(3)The rolling effect of the rolling balls with different material and size on the stainless steel tube specimen is different, and it also affects the service life of the rolling tool.In this paper, the second generation of magnetic rolling tools have been developed on the basis of the above problems, and the experimental research has been carried out.The contents of this paper are mainly from four aspects: the theoretical basis of magnetic roll processing, the design of magnetic roll system, the simulation and optimization of magnetic roll, and the test of magnetic roll:(1)The theoretical basis of magnetic rolling theory is mainly discussed from four aspects: rolling processing mechanism, magnetic roll magnetic circuit analysis, magnetic force rolling effect factors and magnetic force rolling feasibility conditions. The types and characteristics of magnetic materials are mainly introduced. The formula of initial angle is obtained through theoretical analysis. The initial angle is demonstrated by finite element simulation, and the factors that influence the effect of magnetic roll processing are analyzed.(2)Based on motor technology theory and magnetic field theory,a permanent magnet magnetic rolling system is designed on the premise of meeting the machining requirements. The design of magnetic rolling system mainly describes the components and the size determination process and installation requirements of the magnetic rolling system, the function of each part in the system is described, and the formation principle of the rotating magnetic field of the permanent magnet external magnetic field generator is emphasized. The main parameters affecting rolling effect are obtained through magnetic circuit analysis.(3)The simulation and optimization of magnetic roll rolling is based on permanent magnet magnetic roll rolling system. With the help of Ansoft finite element analysis software, the magnetic field of the magnetic roll rolling system is simulated and analyzed,so as to determine the optimal size of the key components in the rolling tool.On this basis, second generation of magnetic rolling tools are developed.(4)Magnetic rolling test research on the magnetic rolling test on the permanent magnetic rolling system test platform, the experiment is carried out under different rolling parameters, and the best processing parameters are determined,The test results show that the internal surface quality of the stainless steel tube specimen has been effectively improved.
