| Calibration,error identification and compensation of NC machine tools are important means to ensure their machining accuracy.Contemporarily,researchers have proposed a series of methods for calibration and error compensation of NC machine tools,which have brought about commercial tools and equipment widely used in engineering.However,there are still some problems in the existing technical means,such as many detection instruments involved,long detection period,high-intensity labor,etc.,which also leads to a long time for the inspection work and reduces the efficiency of the machine tools.In recent years,with the deepening of research,the detection and compensation technique of volumetric error of NC machine tools have witnessed rapid development.However,because of the limitation of the accuracy of the instrument,the research on volumetric error detection of NC machine tools was mainly based on the testing equipment widely used in engineering,like laser interferometers,double ball bar(DBB),and so on.At present,the accuracy of the laser tracer has been significantly improved,and its functions have been increasingly perfected.This provides a guarantee for the research on the volumetric error quick detection and compensation technique of NC machine tools based on laser tracer.Based on the multi-body system theory,this article analyzes the volumetric error model of NC machine tools.Then the inherent error of the laser tracer is introduced,and the influence of the inherent error of the laser tracer on the error identification result is analyzed,and the feasibility of the volumetric error detection by the laser tracer is proved.After that,a volumetric error detection and compensation experiment was conducted on a machine tool equipped with a Siemens 840 D numerical control system,by using a ETALON laser tracer.By the comparison of the general accuracy before and after volumetric error compensation,it was proved that it is viable to detect and compensate volumetric error of a machine tool using the laser tracer.Finally,through the analysis of the test results of the machine tool,the validity and reliability of volumetric error compensation(VCS)function of the NC system are further proved.In adition,it was also proved that Volumetric error detection and compensation of NC machine tools based on laser tracer and VCS have the characteristics of less time consumption,stable and reliable compensation results. |
