This study focus on the volatile compounds coming from the liquid surface volatile. The volatile compounds in petrochemical processing enterprise have some features, such as wide distribution, composition of complex, difficult to monitor, difficult to control.Volatile compounds often have the pungent odor, impacting the environment and human life. The volatile compounds are mainly from sewage surface volatilization and tank breathing volatilization. But now,we lack of the monitor and control methods of volatile compounds, and need to learn from pollution. So this study focuses on the volatilization process of volatile compounds. To provide theoretical guidance for the pollution source assessment and pollution control, the law of NH3,H2S and volatile petroleum hydrocarbons was studied through field investigation and laboratory simulations. The static test of volatile inorganics showed that pH is the most important factor in the process of inorganics volatilization, indicating that the ionic form in solution is predominant. With the increase of temperature and initial concentration, the emission of volatile inorganics is increased. The dynamic test of volatile inorganics showed that mass transfer rate of volatile inorganic is mainly controlled by the film.Increasing the flow rate can accelerate mass transfer, but when the wind speed less than 1.2 m·s-1,it will not change the mass transfer coefficient. The volatile law of volatile organics is more complex than volatile inorganics. The distribution, basic properties and concentration distribution of most organics, which is insoluble or slightly soluble in water, will affect the volatilization.Other factors such as temperature,pH,and contaminant content also increase the difficulty of predicting the volatile law.The contaminant content is the most important factor in inorganics’s volatilization process, but when the oil content reached 35mL,it formed a film on the surface of liquid and the change rate of recombinant hydrocarbon’s emission reduced to 10%,C6+volatilization also slightly reduced. With the increase of temperature, the emission of hydrocarbons is increased, the rate of volatilization is decreasing with volatilezation process. The emission of hydrocarbons will not change with pH.The more recombinant parts in crude, the less emission and volatilization rate.
