With the rapid development of wood structure construction,the higher technical requirements and market demand for the cabin processing equipment is put forward.As the main raw material of wood structure construction,the demand of log beam is also increasing.However,China's existing log beam processing equipment is mostly semi-automatic processing equipment and the processing form of which is single,the processing precision and the degree of automation are low,which can not meet the existing market demand.Therefore,it is urgently needed to develop a comprehensive processing equipment which dedicated to process log beam to meet the processing needs of high-precision,high-precision and highefficiency.In this paper,the processing technology and processing form of cabin log beam are studied in depth,the structure and function of the cabin log beam processing equipment at home and abroad are compared and analyzed.And combined with the log beam processing requirements of wood structure construction manufacturer,the processing form and the processing sequence of the cabin log beam machining center are determined finally.On this basis,the main technical parameters and the overall program layout of the machining center are determined.The movable end thimble spindle assembly,fixed end thimble spindle assembly,turret type spindle structure,moving end clamping structure,fixed end clamping structure,transverse,longitudinal movement assembly and the like are combined appropriately.Finally,the structural design of the whole machine is finished.The key parts of the turret spindle structure and the numerical control system of the machining center are studied deeply.On the basis of designing and calculating the cutting force and cutting power of each spindle assembly of turret type spindle structure,the structural design of each spindle assembly is completed,and then the structure design of the turret type spindle structure is completed.At the same time,the key components of turret type spindle structure are analyzed by finite element method(Static,modal and harmonic response analysis).Through the static simulation analysis of the spindle of the turning cylindrical and the milling of transverse groove spindle assembly and turret,the stress,strain and maximum deformation cloud are obtained,which verify its strength and stiffness to meet the design requirements.The results show that the strength and rigidity meet the design requirements.Through the modal analysis and the harmonic response analysis of the turret to verify its strength and stiffness to meet the design requirements during machine start-up phase.To design the PLC control system of the cabin log beam machining center.The functional description and resource requirements analysis of the complete machine control system are completed.The electrical schematic design,hardware selection and touch screen software design and development are also completed.At the example of the action process control of the top pin clamping round wood beam,the PLC control system is designed.The research and development of the cabin log beam machining center and its control system in this paper have satisfied the requirement of the log beam processing quality and quantity for wooden structure manufacturers.It has provided a new design method and basis for the innovative design of the cabin log beam multi-function processing equipment.
