Studies On The Identification Of Natural Musk With HPLC

Musk is the precious medicinal herbs and spices.It is one of the highly valuable wildlife products,there is a large demand in China.As the production of musk has been in short supply,it is not uncommon for the phenomenon of adulteration and counterfeiting under the stimulation of huge economic interests.Musk ketone is an important active ingredient in musk and has been able to synthesize.However,synthetic musk ketone and natural musk ketone compared to the lack of biological activity,and synthetic musk ketone structure is more complex,and can not be completely equal with the natural musk ketone,and because of the different spatial conformation and there is a potential unknown risk,and thus in the actual drug efficacy is still less than natural musk.The current national requirements of musk can only be strictly limited for the production of special effects drugs,key drugs and other key Chinese medicine,If put the adulteration musk that using artificial musk ketone as natural musk ketone as the high-quality musk in medicine,It will likely to cause a degree of patient care and health hazard.This study provides an overview of the common musky adulteration patterns found in practice.Optimize the sample processing of existing HPLC method,orthogonal decomposition method is used to design chromatographic condition,to determine the optimal separation scheme is methanol / water(90:10 v / v).The rival musk ketone was successfully isolated,and the method was applied to the actual identification of 16 batches of musk samples to identify whether or not the musk was compounded with(DL)synthetic musk ketone.To some extent,this method can improve the identification accuracy,speed and precision.
