According to the coating process of European and American furniture,this paper mainly studied the modified poplar.First of all,determining the surface roughness of modified poplar and the operation on the surface of modified poplar.Then make the analysis of surface function based on the coating process of European and American furniture.In order to establish the relationship between the surface function and the performance of film.It's important to determine the visual physical quantity and physical and chemical properties of the film after applying NC antique imitation crafts and PU non-transparent pure color crafts that using diverse ways to the modified poplar.Based on this,the optimized finishing process used in modified poplar and commonly used materials,micro macro properties of the film and film with substrate detection,on the feasibility of modified poplar for Europe finishing.The conclusions of the research are as follows:(1)Using sandpaper grinding sanding on modified poplar surface,with the increase of sand type,surface roughness,average deviation(Ra),the maximum height of contour(Ry),micro roughness ten point height(Rz),the highest profile peak height(Rp)showed a decreasing trend,profile roughness average distance(Sm)increased firstly and then decreased,overall,more types of sandpaper polished surface of wood,the greater the modified poplar depot after brushing the bottom with 240# sand light,the surface roughness can get maximum improvement;Surface wettability aspects,wetting degree of water and glycerol the decreased first and then increased,the change trend of the parameters and modification of poplar wood surface roughness density is consistent with Sm,and in Sm=0.307 mm to get the minimum,that compactness helps to improve the degree of wetting;In addition,the degree of wetting of distilled water was negatively correlated with the decrease of contact angle.(2)Nitrocellulose(NC)application of finishing process on the old antique modified polar,bottom repair color and brush color process under the red and green product index(a*),yellow and blue color index(b*)by modified poplar wood surface roughness,compactness and surface wetting properties,when Sm=0.307 mm,Ra=5.801?m,a* the minimum value,the maximum value of b*;The bottom repair color and brush color process under the color saturation index(C*)affected by the amplitude of a* and b* high index;In addition,when Sm=0.307 mm,Ra=5.801?m,nitro paint under the peeling paint was the lowest,the most strong adhesion.(3)Polyurethane(PU)non transparent finishing process used in modified Yang Muzhong,through the orthogonal experiment,the optimum scheme of improving adhesion and abrasion resistance were determined: modified poplar surface coating bottom Po(a closed paint)by 240#after sanding sandpaper,followed by spraying over PU sealing primer,two times PU white primer,NC transparent topcoat film and again use 320# sandpaper.(4)Macro observation,modified poplar and mahogany through the same steps NC to do the old antique finishing process,the former film color a* value and b* value and gloss is less than the latter,the former film adhesion is better than the latter;through the same steps of PU pure white coating,the gloss,adhesion and abrasion resistance of paint films are better than the latter;micro observation,NC antique do modified poplar film and substrate and PU coating finishing old pure white under the combination is better than that of mahogany and substrate conditions.
