Butyl alcohol is an important organic chemical raw material,widely used in chemical,petrochemical industry,pharmaceutical etc.This paper uses Wison(Nanjing)Chemical Co.,Ltd.250,000tons/Y of butyl octanol plant as the research object,through the analysis on characteristics and operation requirements of different butyl octanol synthesis device.choose the DAVY/DOW propylene rhodium based low pressure carbonyl synthesis-liquid phase cycle process technology.This paper also determine the process flow and gives calculations on the consumption and material balance of the process.Base on the production requirement of the 250,000 tons/Y butyl octanol plant,it gives the butyl octanol reactor design,studied the factors that may affect the carbonyl synthesis reaction,including raw materials impurities,hydrogen carbon ratio of the synthetic gas,temperature,pressure,triphenyl phosphine concentration and the effects from rhodium catalyst loss to the carbonyl synthesis reaction,and puts forward corresponding measures to improve,to assurance the safe,stable,full load,and longtime optimized running of the plant.Introduced the cause of the deactivation of the carbony synthesis catalyst,and briefly described the recycle methods of the catalyst.
