In recent years,China's manufacturing industry is at an important stage of the "Made in China" to "Created in China" transformation development,product quality requirements continue to improve,many sophisticated products,more and more with the micro hole parts,the fuel injector of aero engine,small aerostatic bearings,spinneret printer head plate,etc.,these hole machining manufacturing become the key to affect the quality of the product.The materials used in these parts are called difficult to machine materials in the traditional mechanical processing field.It is very difficult to process tiny holes with traditional machining methods,and even can not finish the processing.High speed EDM small hole processing technology is a new kind of small hole special processing technology,which has been developed in recent years,and its application field is expanding increasingly.The non contact machining of EDM greatly reduces the mechanical burden of tools and workpieces,and the macro cutting force is very small,which is not limited by the strength and hardness of materials.It has broad application prospects in the processing of electrically conductive refractory materials.However,the deposition of electrical corrosion products not only affects the stability and quality of holes,but also increases the loss of electrodes and reduces the processing efficiency.Traditional periodic lifting tool electrode helps chip removal method,though it improves the accumulation of electrical erosion products,but increases the time needed for extra movement,and the processing efficiency has not yet been significantly improved.The tool used in the machining of deep small holes is a gun drill.The drill pipe is hollow inside,and there is a V groove outside.The high-pressure cutting fluid is sent to the cutting area from the oil inlet hole of the drill bit to cool,lubricate and help chip removal.Then the chip and cutting fluid are discharged along the V groove into the tank.The deep hole electrical discharge small deep hole processing tool electrode is a hollow brass electrode.During the processing,the dielectric reaches the discharge area from the inside of the electrode,and the electrical erosion product is discharged from the gap between the hole wall and the outer wall of the electrode,which is very similar to the chip removal system of the gun drill.To solve the problem of electrical corrosion product in small deep hole EDM,through theoretical analysis and experimental verification,the application of chip removal technology of gun drill in small deep hole EDM is studied.The results show that it effectively improves the difficulty of chip removal,and the machining speed is significantly improved.
