As a kind of protective equipment,bulletproof clothing plays an important role in protecting the body from the damage of the outside,avoiding the heeling,penetrating and fatal injuries.But still can’t avoid indirect damage,which called a non-penetrating injury.We established a 7.62 mm pistol cartridge,ceramic composite body armor and human body chest part of the structure of the composite model,based on finite element pretreatment software Hypermesh in this article.And the model was divided into meshes,and the material was set.Finally,the non-penetrating damage simulation of thoracic cavity was completed.The simulation process of composite body armor penetration alone reveals the bulletproof mechanism of composite bulletproof clothes,the process of ceramic plates was broken,as well as the collaborative mechanism of the ceramic target board and PE target board.And it is concluded that the bullet in the process of composite body armor penetration of projectile velocity,acceleration and energy change rule.We reconstructed a 3D human body chest model by using medical software Mimics20.0 in this article,and studied its structure,and the model was simplified reasonably.We studied the mechanics of the sternum,the heart and the lungs through a finite element simulation,and finally,the acceleration and pressure of the thoracic tissue were obtained.The study of different velocity of projectile was given to compare the force of each tissue in the thoracic cavity,and analyzed the bulletproof effect of body armor and the injury of human chest.It reveals the evolutionary pattern of the acceleration and pressure of the body armor,the body’s chest,the heart,and the lungs.It provides a theoretical model of the non penetrating damage mechanism,and the protective properties of the protective gear.
