With the decreasing of the oil storage,the oil development gradually turns to ocean field.At present,semi-submersible production platform has become the mainstream of offshore drilling platform.The semi-submersible production platform is powerful and has a large number of loads,it leads to that platform power system capacity is very large.For the platform power station system,the core part of the power station system is the power generation part,the normal operation of the power generation part directly affects whether the whole power station system can operate stably.Therefore,it is of great significance to study the adaptability of high power generator sets for deepwater semi-submersible production platform.This paper firstly establishes the mathematical model for each part of the high power generator sets for deepwater semi-submersible production platform,including the mathematical model of diesel engine?synchronous generator mathematical model?the mathematical model of diesel engine speed regulation system?the mathematical model of synchronous generator excitation system.At the same time,establish the mathematical model of related platform load.According to the mathematical model,the simulation model of the high power generator sets for deepwater semi-submersible production platform is built in the PSCAD/EMTDC simulation software.The dynamic and static characteristics of the diesel engine speed regulation system and the synchronous generator excitation system are discussed in this paper.Secondly,the related simulation of the simulation model is studied.Including the simulation analysis of generator with resistance load running?with PQ load running?with motor load running,simulation analysis of different faults on the generator sets,and simulation analysis of diesel engine torque adding disturbance signal,at the end,doing the related simulation for two generator sets simultaneous operation.The fault simulation research of generator sets includes short circuit fault and loss of excitation fault,short circuit fault takes the form of three phase grounding short circuit fault,and the threephase grounding short circuit fault includes three kinds of situations,such as with resistance load,with PQ load,with motor load.For two generator sets,the simulation of with motor load has been done,and doing the simulation study when one generatorsets is in the loss of excitation fault state.Based on the analysis of the simulation results,it can be seen that the generator sets can run steadily when the three different platform loads are changed.When generator is in the threephase grounding short circuit fault and loss of excitation fault,although the system can't work normally,but due to the excitation system and speed regulating system,slowing the fault impact on the system,and when the fault is removed the generator sets under the regulation of the control system can restore stability.When the torque of diesel engine is added to the disturbance signal,the generator sets can operate stably.Two generator sets are running at the same time,when the motor loads change,the system has good dynamic and static characteristics.When one generator sets is in loss of excitation fault state,under the effect of the another generator excitation system,the system is not always unstable,can restore to the steady state after adjustment,and it can restore to the state that before the fault occurs when the fault is removed.The simulation results show that the high power generator sets for deepwater semi-submersible production platform have a good adaptability.
