Methanol as an important chemical products and raw materials,has been widely used in organic synthesis,dyes,pharmaceuticals,coatings and defense industries.With the increasing demand for methanol and the rapid development of methanol production technology,it is particularly important to study the process conditions for methanol synthesis.In this paper,we use the chemical simulation software Aspen plus as a platform to simulate a large-scale low-pressure methanol production plant,and using Inner Mongolia Shenhua Wuhai energy annual output of 300,000 tons of large-scale low-pressure methanol production plant as the project background.Through the establishment of a reasonable methanol synthesis simulation process,we obtain a guidance on the production of information,and lead to the purposes including stable production,improve yield,and reduce energy consumption.In this paper,the Aspen plus software is used to simulate the synthesis process.The results show that the simulation process can reflect the actual production process.In the process of methanol synthesis simulation,the sensitivity analysis tools are used to analyze the main parameters,such as flow rate,reaction temperature,reaction rate,cycle ratio,outlet stability of water cooler.The results show that the cycle ratio is increased and the fresh gas is reduced with increasing the pressure.In addition,reducing outlet temperature of water cooler will be conducive to the increase in methanol production.
