Oil sand as a non-conventional oil resources,it has a huge reserves,increase production time is short.At present,the sand content of oil sand is about 70% to 80%,moisture content of less than 10%,oil content of about 6% to 30% range.Oil sands have been used by human society,must be refined through mining,processing,and other aspects of integrated technology implementation.Oil sands mining technology is divided into open-air mining and on-site separation.Oil sands processing technology common washing separation,pyrolysis distillation,solvent extraction,biological treatment,chemical treatment,ultrasonic assisted separation and ionic liquid-assisted separation method.In this paper,solvent extraction technology and pilot plant test were studied.The main contents of this paper are divided into three parts.The first is to explore the design parameters of the pilot plant through experiments,the second is to design and install the pilot plant,and the third is to run the pilot plant.First,the extraction solvent used in oil sands solvent extraction was screened out by using experimental method.It was concluded that toluene was better solvent than other solvent,and the addition of trace polyethylene glycol in the solvent could obtain higher extraction rate.The main operating parameters,such as the ratio of solid oil sands and solvent volume ratio of 1: 4 ~ 5 and extraction stirring speed of 300 ~ 500 r /min,were obtained.The settling time of oil sands and solvent was 20 min,the density of the oil sands deposited in the solution state was 1.0638g/ml.After the solid-liquid separation,the oil phase was separated by centrifugal separation,and the centrifugal fine sand content in the oil phase was found to be less,and the second extraction could get the better extraction rate.The design of the pilot plant is a combination of experimental data and computer simulation.The design includes: the whole process of the device,logistics data,equipment design requirements,and then come to the detailed size of equipment and nozzle.On this basis,according to less investment,easy operation and energy saving principle,layout of the equipment location,thus determining the location of the equipment nozzle.According to the results of the above-mentioned equipment design,equipment manufacturing,equipment installation,utility configuration and device-related instrumentation,pump and other installation work,oil sand solvent extraction process from the experimental small test to enlarge the actual pilot plant.The pilot plant was commissioned and stable operation,extraction of oil sand asphalt oil can supply the downstream industrial development,discharge of residual water after washing most of the solvent can be recycled,washed sand can be considered for subgrade engineering.From the operation of the pilot plant,the volume of the solvent used is not less than four times the mass of the oil sands,the stirring rate of the extraction tank is 300 to 500 rpm or more,the stirring time is 10 minutes or more,preferably 15 to 25 minutes,We need to strengthen the important data regeneration after 3 cycles.The pilot plant operation can provide important application parameters and reference value for large-scale industrialization of oil sands in Indonesia.
