| With the development of surface texture technology,it has been found that the surface friction pairs with a certain non,smooth micro-texture tend to have better anti-wear and anti-friction properties.During the past decade,the surface texture technology has been applied to the field of cutting tools.The research shows that the application of reasonable surface micro-texture on the tool effectively improves the friction state of the friction pairs between the tool-chip and tool-workpiece,and micro-texture tool has a good wear and anti-adhesion for cutting titanium alloy particularly.At present,the surface texture technology is mainly used in the field of turning tools,and the study of the texture morphology includes micro-convex hull,micro-pit and micro-groove texture,in which the micro-groove texture to improve the tools’ cutting performance is most significant,but the direction and size of the micro-groove texture affect the cutting performance of the texture tools.In this paper,based on the reasonable texture can improve the tools’ cutting performance,the longitudinal micro-groove,lateral micro-groove and micro-pit texture which is called TA,TB and TC for short are applied to the end milling cutter.The purpose of this paper is to study that the effect of cutting performance with changing micro-texture shape,the spacing and width of longitudinal groove on the tools’ rake face respectively,then find the mechanism of the micro-texture.The main research contents are as follows:At first,The laser processing parameters(laser scanning speed,laser frequency,laser power,laser scanning times)how to effect the micro-texture’s morphology and dimension have been analyzed by the combination of orthogonal test and single factor test,which is to confirm the optimal combination of laser processing parameters,and then the micro-textures with different shapes and sizes are prepared on the surface of cemented carbide by laser marking machine.The effect of the micro-texture with different morphology and dimension on the surface friction properties of cemented carbide is studied by friction and wear test.The friction performance of the friction pairs with different texture is analyzed by comparing the friction coefficient and the wear volume of the test ball.Then the texture morphology and dimension combination with the best frictional properties in the texture sample are determined,which is used as a research object and prepared on the rake face of the end mill.Then,through the cutting test under dry cutting and lubrication cutting conditions,compared the cutting force,chip morphology and tools’ wear of non-texture and micro-texture carbide cutting tools for milling Titanium alloy is to analyse the cutting performance of the different cutting tools under the same cutting conditions.Finally,the results of the cutting test are summarized.The results show that the reasonable surface micro-texture can effectively reduce the tools’ milling force,increase the chip curl,reduce wear of the tools’ rake/flank face wear and surface bonding.The shape of the micro-texture has a great influence on the cutting performance of the milling cutter.The cutting performance of the TA type(longitudinal micro-groove)texture tool is the best,and that of the TC type(micro-pit)texture tool is the second.However,the TB type(lateral micro-groove)texture increase the tools’ wear and bonding,increase the tool milling force,which is not conducive to improve the cutting performance of milling cutters.The TA type micro-groove ’s width and spacing have some influence on the cutting performance of the milling cutter.When the micro-grooves’ width is about 100 μm and the spacing is about 100μm,the cutting performance of the micro-texture tool is the best. |
