With China’s moving into the deepwater oil and gas fields,there are an increasing number of pipelines need to be maintained and repaired,as more and more deepwater pipelines are being lay down.But the technology of underwater emergency repair is still at the early stage,and the key technologies are mastered by the foreign monopoly.The underwater emergency repair technology has become one of factors that restrict the development of China’s offshore oil and gas exploration.The deepwater pipeline maintenance and repair technology is becoming more and more important.The purpose of this research is to develop a deepwater pipeline repair tool with independent intellectual property rights and shorten the gap with foreign countries in this field,and reserve the relevant technique.So,the research has an important significance on the technical research field of underwater operation.The mechanical properties of the deepwater pipeline repair tool in the deepwater pipeline cutting operation process and its experimental study is focused in this paper.In this paper,the development of the deepwater pipeline repair tools and their characteristics at home and abroad is studied.The cutting tool and its characteristics of the deepwater pipeline repair tools is summarized.In this paper,the general structural sheme of the deepwater pipeline cutting tool is studied,and the structural relationship between the cutting tool and the clamping device is elaborated.In this paper,the operation condition of deepwater and general structure scheme of the deepwater pipeline cutting tool are studied,and the interaction relationship between the cutting tool and the clamping device of the deepwater pipeline cutting tool is stated,as well as the structural components and the the working principle.The structural parameters of composite multi-functional cutter of the deepwater pipeline cutting tool are designed according to the operation condition of deepwater and the operation needs.The composite multi-functional cutter is used to cutting big thick deepwater pipeline with big back cutting depth.According to the theory of orthogonal cutting,the mathematical mode of the cutting force is builded and a simulation model by using the software of ABAQUS is made.And through the simulation,the contrastive analysis of cutting forces aremade amang different cutting speed.In this paper,mechanics model of the deepwater pipeline cutting tool in the cutting operation process is established.A mechanical simulation of the deepwater pipeline cutting tool is made with the software of ADAMAS;and the clamping capacity of the clamping device of the deepwater pipeline cutting tool and its stability with the influence of the cutting force and the current force is studied.And the deepwater pipeline cutting experiment of the cutter is designed,and the cutting force is acquired,the effect of different cutting speed on the cutting force is studied thereby a group of cutting parameters which is adapt to cutting big thick deepwater pipeline with big back cutting depth are chosen.The experiment result is verified by comparing with the simulation result.The commissioning of the the deepwater pipeline cutting tool on land is made,and the mechanical simulation result is verified by comparing with the result of the commissioning,as well as the rationality of the design of the structural parameters of composite multi-functional cutter and the cutting parameters.In summary,in this paper,the mechanical model,simulation and experiment of the composite multi-functional cutter is made;and the mechanical analysis and computer simulation analysis of deepwater pipeline cutting operation process of the deepwater pipeline cutting tool is studied.and it can provide some reference for the verification of the mechanical structure and the design of the hydraulic control system of deepwater pipeline cutting tool.
