| China has ushered its new era of rejuvenation since 1978,when the reform and opening-up policy was put into effect.The cultural field exhibited a recovery following the rapid development of economics,furthermore,the apparel industry with true fashionorientation began to make progress after the reform and opening when a batch of local designers integrated their own individual cultural feelings into the works.Chinoiserie was always the permanent theme of the local designers who were seeking the way to return to ego,thus bringing the initial motivation towards the growth of Chinoiserie costume design.This article teases the general development venation and periodic trends of Chinoiserie according to the research on its the status of development all over the years since the reform and opening.From simple symbolization to more abstract sentiment rhyme,this article reveals the changes of the overall design consciousness in a more expanding,deepgoing andsublimate way.The article proceeds in the following six aspects and periods,they are:(1)visual expression of the cultural symbols;(2)return of the “the style of the republic of China”;(3)renaissance of “Han Dynasty Costumes” and lifelization of “ancient constumes”;(4)deconstruction of the symbols in fashion brands;(5)the practice of the unity of knowledge and action;and(6)Material and craftsmanship.A serious of feminine dresses of “Chinoiserie” have been designed,which is a practical trial of the research theories obtained from the article. |
