Montan wax is a kind of rare resource and has high application value.At present,the domestic and foreign literatures are focused on the extraction and modification of montan wax,preparing different types of light colored wax.The extraction,purification and application of montan wax are in the solution,therefore,it is of great significance to study aggregation behavior and aggregation mechanism of montan wax in solution.In this thesis,the intrinsic viscosity and rheological behavior of montan wax solution were studied,the concentration process of montan wax and morphology of aggregates were characterized,the main physical and chemical properties of raw wax and six kinds of aggregation products were analyzed.The composition,crystallinity,main functional groups and thermodynamic properties of montan wax before and after aggregation were characterized by X ray diffraction,FT-IR,TG-DSC and gas chromatography mass spectrometry.The research results show:The aggregation behavior of montan wax molecules in solution is the result of the combined action of molecular entanglement and intermolecular forces,which is affected by temperature,concentration,solvent and holding time etc.The process of the aggregation of small molecules can be divided into 4 stages:Small particle growth,first flocculation,second increase of small particles and second flocculation.The intrinsic viscosity of the solution increases with the increase of the feed liquid ratio,and the trend of the three kinds of solutions was:cyclohexane > benzene >ethyl acetate.Combined temperature datas we found that the three solvents are good solvents;because of the differences of intermolecular forces in different solvents,the morphologies of aggregates formed in different solution systems are different.Montan wax solution is a pseudoplastic fluid with shear thinning.The effect of temperature on the solution accords with the Arrhenius equation,and the maximum flow activation energy is 21.55 kJ/mol.Crystals exist in the raw wax,in the process of aggregation,the resin and asphalt component enter the solvent,and the rearrangement between the molecules makes the order of the crystal in the wax of montan increase,and the crystal particles become smaller.Thus,enthalpy and melting point of montan wax increased in the thermal decomposition process after aggregation.There were no functional groups chang before and after aggregation,and the higher groups were-CH3 and-CH2,indicating that the component of montan wax was mainly long chain,and the presence of-OH,the main functional group of hydrogen bonds,was also detected.40%~60% components of montan wax detected by GC-MS are long chain alkane.After aggregation,the content of alkanes,phenol and aromatic hydrocarbons increased,and the intermolecular force winding effect enhanced.
