Auxiliary Medicated Plaster Clothing Design For Elderly People

China's population is aging fast,and the proportion of the elderly population in China increases year by year.In this context,the demand of products orienting the old is growing rapidly.However,the quantity and diversity of the product can not match the demand of the elders,especially the functional demand for products.At present,the supply of products aiming for the older consumer mainly contains medical and health care product,and it is lack of functional auxiliaries,especially garments.Along with science and technology advancement,particularly the smart technology,making the garment smart and functional is conceivable.It is the obligation of the modern designer to satisfy the needs of the elders,in order to make the elders? garments more comfortable and convenient,based on ?caring for the elderly?.A series of changes,not only physiologically but also psychologically,will make as we age,typically the deterioration of the bones,the osteoarticular defect,less elasticity of ligaments,the limitation of joint motion.Thus the physical activity of the body is limited.The failure of organs makes the elder get sick easily.Diseases like pondylosisdeformans,CTS,rheumatoid arthritis make the life of the elder harder.Using medicated plasters can relieve pain that caused by those diseases.But it seems impossible for the elder to use the medicated plaster wherever they want.In order to solve this problem,this paper designs a garment which helps the elders to find the acupuncture point,plaster accurately,fit tightly and put on conveniently.Based on human engineering,this research did human factor analysis in three aspects: habitus,poster and psychology,combining with non-barrier design,then arrived at the accuracy of acupuncture point,comfort and convenience.What?s more,the analysis also considered size,materials and color.Based on all these analyses,this paper comes out with the design of the garment which helps the elder solving the problem of plastering.
