The abrasive water jet machining technology has the advantages of little pollution,strong applicability,low cost and so on.It has been widely used in cutting,cleaning,rust removal and other industries.It will achieve better environmental and economic benefits,if the abrasive water jet machining technology is successfully applied to the large-scale strip production line descaling instead of pickling process.However,there is little theoretical and experimental research on abrasive water jet descaling.In order to provide reference for the research and application of abrasive water jet descaling,the influence of abrasive water jet descaling process parameters has studied in this paper,by means of theoretical research,simulation and experiment.The main research contents are as follows:(1)Based on the distribution law of radial and axial velocity of jet,the jet velocity in the jet is derived.The relationship between the jet velocity and the process parameters,such as the jet distance and jet pressure,is established.Taking the jet velocity as the intermediate quantity,the relationship between the particle velocity and the process parameters is established,based on the dynamic characteristics of liquid-solid two-phase flow.Finally,taking the particle velocity as the intermediate quantity,the relationship between the impact force and the process parameters is obtained by establishing the model of the plastic material and the brittle material.It provides a theoretical basis for the comprehensive analysis and accurate control of the descaling results.(2)The effect of jet parameters,such as jet distance,jet pressure and jet angle,on flow field characteristics are studied by using FLUENT software.The influence of various process parameters on particle impact velocity and impact width are simulated and analyzed.(3)In order to further understand the influence of the process parameters on the impact surface,LS-DYNA software is used to simulate the impact of abrasive particle on different impact velocity,impact angle and abrasive particle size.(4)The abrasive water jet descaling experiment is carried out under certain process parameters,the data of the descaling width and the cross section profile are extracted after the experiment.The effects of the process parameters on the removal efficiency and the uniformity are analyzed by comparing the experimental results and simulation results.(5)The abrasive water jet descaling experiment platform are developed based on the basis of the relevant theory,simulation and test results.The calculation and selection of core components,such as high pressure pump and nozzle,is completed.The feasibility of using hydrocyclone to separate different particle sizes is studied.The motion rule of abrasive water jet and its influence on impact machining is further mastered,through theoretical analysis,numerical simulation and experimental study.It promotes the development and application of green ecological environmental protection and high precision intelligent descaling device,and it is helpful to realize the abrasive water jet technology instead of pickling descaling as soon as possible.
