| Recent years,with the rapid development of ethylene industry,the rational application of by-products in its production process is one of the important issues to be solved,ethylene tar is a major by-product of ethylene production,at present,ethylene tar is mainly used as fuel with low utilization efficiency and environmental pollution.Ethylene tar is mainly composed of the short side chain,polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons and an idea high-quality raw material for the preparation of COPNA(polycyclic polynuclear aromatic)with good heat resistance and good adhesion,and can be used to make binder and so on.At present,COPNA resin is synthesized with ethylene tar as raw material,p-xylylene,benzaldehyde or trioxazole as crosslinking agent,p-toluenesulfonic acid as catalyst,under the protection of nitrogen with softening point between 110-120 ℃,residual carbon between 20-35%,βresin content between 10-20%.Laying the foundation for the further application of ethylene tar resin.However,the cost of crosslinking agent and catalyst is higher,which is not favorable to the industrial application of ethylene tar resin,therefore,it is necessary to find new crosslinking agent and catalyst for industrial production of ethylene tar resin.In this paper,a new process for the Synthesis of COPNA resin with heavy component of ethylene tar from ethylene tar by vacuum distillation to remove the light component(≤300℃)of the tar,dialdehyde starch as the cross-linking agent and lignosulfonic acid as the catalyst is developed.The structure of COPNA resin were investigated by IR,TG and nuclear magnetic resonance(TEM),the properties such as the residual carbon,softening point temperature andβresin content of ethylene tar resin were measured,and the properties such as heat resistance and cohesiveness were measured and compared with the resin synthesized by the present processes.The experimental results show that with the ethylene heavy oil as raw material,the crosslinking agent is 10.0% of the raw material,the catalyst lignosulfonic acid is 8.0% of the raw material,the reaction time is 5.0h,and the reaction temperature is 160 ℃.Ethylene tar resin has a softening point of 122.87 ℃,β resin content of 23.7% and a residual carbon value of 31.79%.Compared with the properties of the current COPNA resins,the softening point and the β resin content of the resin synthesized by this process are improved,the residual carbon value is of similar,so the resin has better heat resistance and cohesiveness.This provided a new way for COPNA resin industrial production. |
