Nowadays,metal cutting tools have been the equipment manufacturing mainstream of CNC(computerized Numerical Control)lathes,and it plays an important part in offering crucial equipment— CNC tools.Although tools only takes up a small proportion in production cost,the processing technique has been hugely affected by the whole tools industry,which meanwhile will be promoted by the development of the equipment manufacturing industry.According to the development of the manufacturing industry,the multi-functional compound tools and high-speed and high-efficient cutting tools will be the mainstream in the future.With the increasing difficult machining materials,the material of the cutting tools must be improved and researched,and the structure must be properly designed.For better adopting the requirement of CNC cutting processing,constantly improving the processing efficiency,and lowering down the production cost,this thesis does a deep research on the improvement and the optimization of the CNC tools based on the CNC processing practice and the demand of new tools.Firstly,it reviews the current situation both home and abroad,including analysis of the developing situation of the CNC tools industry,global and national situation of the metal cutting tools industry and the CNC tools.Secondly,it analyzes the basic knowledge about the metal cutting tools,and elaborates the cutting structures,the static angle,the resource,calculation and the main influencing factors of cutting force.Thirdly,it does deep research on the abrasion and life span of the tools,such as the abrasive shape,and its causes,the life span and its equations,factors that affect its life span,etc.And it puts emphasis on the anatomy of the damaged forms of the CNC tools and its causes.Fourthly,it analyzes the cutting heat and the cutting temperature,the causes and its equations,the heat conduction and factors that affect the heat radiation,ways of measuring the cutting heat,and the main reasons affect the cutting temperature.Finally,in the respect of cutting efficiency,it makes some designs on optimizing the CNC tools,selecting the parameter,and further verifies the availability and practicability of the structural optimization by contrast and analysis of the efficient cutting statistics in this experiment.The structural improvement design of the internal and external compound cutting tools coincides with the new requirements of integrated,intelligent and multi-functional capabilities,and adopts the compound functional structure that installs both the inner hole cutting blades and excircle cutting blades on the same cutter.After many experiments,it has been verified that this cutters can efficiently save the auxiliary time in processing,and can improve the processing efficiency,reduce the production cost,and bring the economical benefits for the enterprise.
