Bio-oil produced by biomass pyrolysis are known to be high oxygen content,high acidity and viscosity,limiting its utilization as transportation fuel.HZSM-5 is an effective catalyst to increase the yield of aromatic hydrocarbon,but produces serious coke.Soluble inorganic mineral can also change the pyrolysis product distribution.In this study,the thermal decomposition process,pyrolysis products,and pyrolysis temperature of cellulose,hemicellulose,lignin and polar chips were investigated by TGA and Py-GC/MS.Catalytic fast pyrolysis of cellulose using soluble Ni?NO3?2 catalyst and HZSM-5 catalyst were studied by TGA and Py-GC/MS.The loading method was impregnation and mechanically mixed for Ni?NO3?2 and HZSM-5,respectively.The results show that 1 wt.% Ni?NO3?2 decreased the initial pyrolysis temperature of cellulose from 285 oC to 263.1 oC,and the coke was reduced to 6.37 wt.%.However,the effect was not distinct with the increasing loading of Ni?NO3?2 because of the bad dispersity and coke.HZSM-5 is an effective catalyst for hydrodeoxygenation,and the main pyrolysis products transformed into aromatic hydrocarbon after using HZSM-5.
