The offshore oil industry is gradually moving from offshore to subsea in China with its development.Although the technical team for subsea project trained by our country has been learning to master the development and testing skills of subsea oil,we still cannot install the subsea tree system independently as the research is just getting started.The subsea tree running and retrieving tool is used for running,installing and retrieving the subsea tree,which is the key to make installing subsea tree independently possible.Based on the functional requirement of target subsea tree,this article designs its running and retrieving tool,which is mainly used for the subsea tree’s installation and retrieving.It can also unlock to the tree in a quick way when emergencies come.After researching on the function and working principle of related running and retrieving tool,this paper schemes the overall plan for the tool and divides it into seven functional modules.The working process is also made for the tool based on the function requirements,which provided basis for the mechanical system and hydraulic control system designing.The mechanical system is designed according to the working process and functional requirements.The paper calculates the parameters and designs the structures of every functional modules,as well as modeling the running and retrieving tool in both 3D and 2D.The action request of the hydraulic control system is laid on based on the structure and function requirement.The detail designing and performance evaluation is done after that.At last,the article analyzes the key part and the motion mechanism by ANSYS and finds the area of stress concentration,as well as makes sure of these area’s position and the maximum stress to ensure the designing can live up to the strength requirement.
