The deep seabed area means the waters of beyond national jurisdiction seabed,ocean floor and subsoil area,it has about 251.7 million square kilometers,accounting for about 49% of the earth’s surface.The region include very rich resources,not only a large number of oil and gas,gas hydrate and other energy resources,as well as a wealth of polymetallic nodules,polymetallic sulphides,cobalt-rich ferromanganese crusts and other metal mineral resources and huge bio-genetic resources.With the introduction of the 2016 "area of the deep seabed exploration and development law",deep ocean mining area has become the focus of attention.At present,"the development of deep-sea exploration,ocean drilling,exploitation of seabed resources,security and other offshore equipment and systems to promote the deep space station,large floating structure development and engineering" has been included in the "Thirteen Five" plan.But because the complex of deep-sea mining technically,large investment and other factors,the deep-sea mining technology develope slowly.For the good prospects and huge gaps,it is necessary to intensify the development of the latest deep-sea mining equipment.The main work of this paper is based on the hydrodynamic theory,reference existing mining ship and on the basis of VLFS,and conceptual design a new deep-sea mining platform,finally assess its feasibility in terms of hydrodynamic characteristics.(1)Design of a new type of deep sea mining platform: Taking into account the deep-sea mining environment is bad,the commercial exploitation of large scale and the future burden of terrestrial environment pollution and other factors,based on the concept of very large floating structure,are put forward to satisfy the new concept of special mining platform of future large-scale exploitation of marine mineral resources;Reference to the existing semi submersible type mining platform and the current status of the mining ship and based on the idea of modularization,the preliminary design of the overall combination of single standard module size and platform,considering the combination between modules and connection mode,the main structure of the platform is determined.The main functions of the new mining platform and the specific operation process are simply described.The overall conceptual design of the new type of deep sea mining platform is given.(2)Study on hydrodynamic characteristics of a new type of mining platform: based on the three-dimensional potential flow theory and AQWA finite element software,solve the frequency domain of the new deep-sea mining platform,and analyze the additional mass,radiation damping,the amplitude response operator in different drafts,and wave angles.As the next time-domain response’ foundation.Calculate the time-domain result of the the new deep-sea mining platform’ wet surface model,analyze the response of the deep mines in the marine environment through its four and six sea conditions and wave direction angles of the heave,roll,pitching motion and other degrees of freedom.The feasibility of the main structure of mining platform in the aspect of hydrodynamic characteristics is verified. |
