Case Analysis And Database Creation On Foreign Unconventional Oil And Gas Fields

In recent years,with the declining production of conventional oil and gas,the world sets off the boom in exploiting the unconventional oil and gas.The exploration and development technologies and equipment in this area has become mature in the developed countries led by the US;while the late start of geological research and backward technology have hindered our progress significantly.It is necessary to learn from the foreign experiences,at the same time build up a practical information management database,in order to quickly and effectively provide reference to our unconventional oil and gas development.Firstly,through the literature review and data analysis nearly twenty foreign cases of unconventional oil and gas development have been closely tracked and analyzed,including: reservoir geological background,the historical process and the present situation,the main exploration and development technologies,the economic indicators,experience and inspiration,etc;the analysis of its geological and reservoir characteristics,the core foreign technology and the future direction of development,a comprehensive study of the status and development trend of foreign unconventional oil and gas fields,and providing the latest foreign unconventional resource information and technology developments.Secondly,a database containing development cases of unconventional oil and gas has been established by SQL SERVER database management tools and C# language.This database is populated with the investigated cases in a certain pattern,enabling the display of information,inquiries,comparisons,downloads and other functions,enhancing the efficiency of information management in unconventional oil and gas resources.Finally,based on the investigated cases and database,a comparative analysis is carried out with the domestic unconventional cases,in terms of geological conditions,technology,and economic indicators.The conclusions assist the determination of the development direction of domestic unconvetntional oil and gas,and provide guidance and theoretical basis for policy-making departments.
