After 50 years development,Shengtuo Oilfield has entered very high water cut stage. In the actual development, the 2D seismic, core and well logging data, mostly collected from seventy or eighty's of last century before and after late, the research results have been unable to meet the needs of the development of oil field. The paper takes Es29 sand-body in the second block of Shengtuo Oilfield for example, research on distribution of remaining Oil,based on the core,3D seismic data, well logging data and dynamic production data.In this paper, described four low-faults and the expanding characteristic of sedimentary facies using 3D seismic and well logging data.Through the study of reservoir characteristics, the Es29 sand-body is defined as low permeability reservoir, realized that the production conditions and reservoir does not match in development. The oil-bearing area and geological reserves increased 2.18 square kilometers and 0.7465 million tons by secondary interpretation to log of old oilfield. The achievements of numerical simulation bring insight into distribution of remaining oil, combining with the production dynamic data to carry out reserves evaluation. The study suggested that the in-depth study of residual oil distribution can solve many contradictions in the dynamic development when the old oilfield entered extra high water cut stage, along with the technical conditions and geological data constantly enrich. At the same time extending edge region is found, also provides a direction for the old oil fields to expand exploration position.
