Garbage compression station(GCS)is a kind of garbage compression equipment which is efficient compression of loose garbage,which has the characteristics of large compression force,high processing efficiency and low energy consumption.In order to improve the performance of the existing GCS,a domestic environmental technology limited company with Yanshan University to develop an high performance split garbage compression station.This paper using the finite element method(FEM)to analyze and optimize the structure of the GCS.The mathematic model of the feeding device is established,so the devices’ s hinge force,the force of cylinder during the process of feeding can be obtained,which provides the theoretical basis for the subsequent structural analysis and the correctness of the finite element model.We established parametric finite element model of the GCS,simplifying pin and slider connection to reduce computation,according to the movement conditions and load form,the finite element analysis of the whole process of loading and compressing waste is completed,and the strength and stiffness distribution of the structure of the GCS under typical working conditions are obtioned.According to the finite element analysis results,the reasonable test points are selected to carry out the strain test on the loading device of the GCS,through the processing of the test data and the comparison with the finite element analysis results,the results of the comparison verified the correctness of the finite element analysis results.In order to lightweight structure of the device,on the premise of meeting the structural strength and stiffness,we optimize plate thickness and improve the structural of the key components of GCS,and achieve the whole weight loss of 15%.The research of this paper improves the structural design of the existing GCS,and also provides the relevant basis for the development of the new product.
