Carbon fiber reinforced hollow glass microsphere composite foam material is a new type of composite material and the carbon fiber or the carbon fiber fabric is to be used to strength the body of the material,which has the advantages of light weight,high strength,high temperature resistance,corrosion resistance and good energy absorption characteristics.It has been widely used in aerospace,machinery manufacturing,shipbuilding,electronics,chemical and other fields.With the development of science and technology,it has more and more requirements for carbon fiber composite materials in the engineering,so the research on the mechanical properties of composites has become more and more important.This paper studies the mechanical of bending and compression of the short carbon reinforced hollow glass microsphere composites and the mechanical of bending of carbon fiber mesh reinforced hollow glass microsphere composite plate by experiment,and discusses the effect on the mechanical properties of the filling mass ratio and the length of the short carbon fiber and the location of the carbon fiber mesh in the epoxy matrix.Composite materials was prepared with three kinds length of carbon fiber filled in the epoxy resin matrix and different mass fraction of carbon fiber,and the mass fraction of the hollow glass microsphere is 5%.Through the three point bending experiment and axial compression experiment,studying the effect on the bending elastic modulus,bending strength,compressive elastic modulus,compressive yield limit,specific strength,specific stiffness of the different length and mass ratio of the carbon fiber.And study the influencing factors and failure mechanism.The composite foam plate was prepared,which use the carbon fiber mesh to strength the body,and the mass fraction of hollow glass microsphere is 5%.The carbon fiber mesh material can improve the mechanical properties of composite material more efficiently because of the weaving structure.The force-displacement curve was obtained by the bending experiment,and through the data from the experiment,studying the effect on the elastic stiffness,ultimate load and the energy absorption capability of the composite foam plate by changing the location of carbon fiber in the plate. |
