With the improvement of automation and continuity of spinning equipment,the continuous application of information technology in cotton spinning industry,great changes have occurred in cotton industry.There are many problems in the traditional design of cotton mill because it is unable to meet the demand of high quality and high yield of modern cotton spinning factory.Therefore,this paper takes Sudanese cotton spinning project with fifty thousand spindles as an example.In this paper,the main aspects of modern design of cotton mill were discussed and designed.Drawing on the theory and experience of domestic and foreign cotton industry design,combined with the Sudanese national conditions,this thesis tries to explore new ways and means of modern cotton mill,hoping that people who are engaged in such construction and design can learn something from this paper,and the thesis can also make contributions to the theoretical construction of cotton mill design to a certain extent.Firstly,the site,plant form and column parameters of the cotton mill were determined and the general plane design of factory was designed.Mainly arranging the location of workshop,other buildings and structures and drawing general layout of this cotton mill.Secondly,according to the relevant design principles and norms,product plan and reasonable mature process flow were selected.Meanwhile,the information of domestic and foreign new spinning equipment was collected for comparative analys is.According to the comparisons of parameters and performance of advanced equipment at home and abroad,combined with the product plan and process flow,the appropriate spinning equipment was selected.Then the process was designed and the number of equipment distribution was calculated,according to which the process design and equipment distribution table with the function of automatic calculation was made by Excel software.The parameters can be adjusted quickly,and the number of equipment can be calculated accurately and rapidly,which can significantly reduce the design time.Next,the process design and quality control were discussed.Besides,the reasonable layout and equipment arrangement of workshop was designed on the basis of the arrangement principles,which can ensure the production and transportation.The layout of workshop and equipment was drawn by Auto-CAD software.Finally,labor quota design and other related designs were conducted,including air conditioning,dust prevention,noise reduction,fire protection and energy-saving design.The designed modern cotton mill is located in Port of Sudan,which is a good location and convenient for transportation.The general layout,workshop and equipment layout are quite in accordance with the design specifications.The product is compact siro spun yarn,and it has high quality with the advantages of siro spinning and compact spinning at the same time.This design selected domestic and foreign advanced spinning equipment with high level of continuity and of automation,which can be in line with the requirements of process and product quality.The blowing-carding unit,roving and spinning combined unit,automatic winding,spinning machine with automatic collective doffing,intelligent transportation vehicle and automatic packing technology were used.In addition,the workshop was covered by Jingwei E system.The use of intelligent management mode and two quality detection methods offline and online can greatly improve the quality of products and reduce the number of workers.The cotton mill is in line with the characteristics of modern cotton mill and economically feasible,which will have good prospects for development.
