In recent decades,the surfactant plays an important role in the process of the chemicalindustryproduction,and the environment pollution is caused seriously.The rawmaterial of surfactant is mostly dependent on the petrochemical resources.But the unreasonable development of the oil and coal leads to the resource depletion.Consequently,it is important and necessary to research and develop the environmental surfactant in order to solve the environment pollution.In this paper,the itaconic acid based polypropylene glycol monoester carboxylate Bola surfactants(Saa-200-Na,Saa-200-K,Saa-400-Na,Saa-400-K,Saa-600-Na,Saa-600-K)were compounded by esterificationand neutral reaction with the main raw materials such as IAn,PPG 200 and PPG 400 and PPG 600,NaOH and KOH.The optimum reaction conditions of esterification reaction were confirmed by measuring acid value and calculating esterification rate,the structure was characterized by 1H-NMR and FT-IR,and the surface tension of series of surfactant(γCMC),critical micelle concentration(CMC),the foaming and the critical phase transition temperature were also characterized.The influence of different electrolytes on the CMC and γCMC was also studied in this paper.The results showed that:(1)the optimum reaction conditions of esterification reaction was: n(IAn):n(PPG)=2.05:1,60 ℃,8.0 h;(2)the γCMC of the Saa-400-Na and Saa-400-K were 33.338 and 32.101 mN/m,respectively.Compared with the traditional carboxylic acid salt of anionic surfactants,the ability of reducing solution surface tension was not obvious for homemade Bola surfactant;(3)with the identical condition of cation(Na+),the influence of anionic(F-,Cl-,Br-)on surfactants was mainly depended on the ratio of anionic charge and radius,the ratio between charge and radius of ions(such as: F-)was much bigger,the CMC and γCMC were smaller;(4)with the identical condition of anion(Cl-),the influence of cations(Li+,Na+,K+)on surfactants was mainly depended on the ratio of cation charge and radius,the ratio between charge and radius of ions(such as: K+)was smaller,the CMC and γCMC were smaller relevantly;(5)the first critical phase transition temperature of series surfactants(TK1)were less than 0 ℃,so it possessed great solubility under low temperature environment. |
