Thick coal seam working face roof convergence space is large, coal bearing a higher load, while the impact of large mining and high mining technology, the rib spalling on thick coal seam working face occurred frequently and seriously affecting the safe and efficient underground production.Through the analysis and research of spalling mechanism, the thesis pointed out the preventing sloughing technique of the high mining height hydraulic support with large mining height, the thick coal seam safe and efficient production has a very high scientific application and engineering value.This paper set up a numerical model by UDEC, the discrete element simulation software, based on the actual working conditions of the thick coal seam face to analyze the law of the roof movement in the thick coal seam. Set up a numerica model by FLAC3D, the finite element simulation software, to analyze the coal walls stability of the roof rock effects while coupled model for thick coal seam surrounding rock face, breaking the analysis of different pitches cause stress changes, to determine the stability of coal under the influence of surrounding rock motion variation characteristics. According to the law of the roof movement of the thick coal seam to clarified the support strength of high mining height hydraulic support and based on the proposed range thick seam main part design requirements and make improvements to achieve controlled by spalling roof support. While the paper analyzes the influence of the mining technology on the stability of the coal wall, and puts forward the adaptability analysis of the high speed and high hydraulic support to the speed of the working face,the arrangement of the chute and the cutting depth Based on the different mining technology, Combined with FLAC3D simulation to determine the thick seam coal wall best protection length, clear thick seam bracket protection mechanism of the main parameters, and proposed improvement program,based on coal wall caving management.In this paper, the optimal support strength of large mining height brackets is determined by thick seam mechanism, and the roof supporting capacity is optimized and the coal load is reduced. Combined with the characteristics of large mining high mining technology,high mining height hydraulic support adaptive analysis,so that the bracket can adapt to the rapid shift frame,along the channel support and large depth of mining support requirements. According to the characteristics of coal stress changes, such as protection board and other key components of the design and size requirements, is conducive to reducing the film to help instability caused by security risks, has a good value to promote the use.
