Coherent jet oxygen lance is created by opening the fule and vice oxygen accompanying holes around the Laval nozzle,using the high temperature flame formed by the combustion of fule and oxygen as accompanying flow to protect the main oxygen jet,so that improve the jet quality of main oxygen jet.Although the coherent jet oxygen lance has made remarkable achievements in the application of electric furnace steelmaking,the converter steelmaking is still the main steelmaking method in our country.So it is necessary to further clarify the basic principle of the coherent jet oxygen lance and the influence factors of the jet characteristics,which to lay the foundation for the application of coherent jet oxygen lance in converter steelmaking.In this paper,the numerical simulation method is used to simulate and compare the characteristics of single-hole conventional supersonic oxygen lance without high temperature flame and single-hole coherent jet oxygen lance with high temperature flame,which is to further clarify the basic principle and advantage of the coherent jet oxygen lance.Obtaining the structural factors and process factors that influence the jet characteristics of the coherent jet oxygen lance by simulating and comparing the jet flow field at different structure parameters and process parameters.According to the effect of high temperature flame accompanying flow on the main oxygen jet,attempting to design a multi-hole coherent jet oxygen lance with high temperature flame and simulating its jet characteristics.The following main conclusions are obtained through numerical simulation studies:(1)The high temperature flame accompanying flow can effectively reduce the density ratio of the surrounding ambient gas and the main oxygen jet,which reducing the entrainment of ambient gas in the main oxygen jet and increasing the jet quality of the single-hole and multi-hole oxygen lance.(2)For single-hole coherent jet oxygen lance,the oxygen mass fraction at the jet center line can be slowed down by selecting the fule hole arranged between the main oxygen hole and the vice oxygen hole.Increasing the distance between the fule hole and the vice oxygen hole and the fule hole diameter can increase the potential core length of jet.(3)For single-hole coherent jet oxygen lance,within a certain range above the designed operating condition pressure,the velocity and the potential core length of jet increase with the increase of the main oxygen pressure.The potential core length of jet increase with the increase of the fule pressure.Preheating the main oxygen and vice oxygen can reduce the potential core length of jet.(4)For multi-hole coherent jet oxygen lance,within a certain range above the designed operating condition pressure,increasing the main oxygen pressure can improve the quality of the jet.Preheating the main oxygen can decrease the quality of the jet.
