Polyphenylene sulfide(PPS)fiber has good thermal stability,corrosion resistance,self flame retardant property,electrical insulation property,good mechanical properties and dimensional stability,is the one important filter material of high temperature gas and liquid phases area.2012,Ministry of Industry and Information Technology release the "Second Five Chemical Fiber Industry Development Plan" which clearly propose that“Strengthen the based technology and equipment research and development of polyphenylene sulfide fibers(PPS),strengthen the downstream industrialization and application development,formed an annual output 20,000 tons or more industrial scale." As a high-performance fiber,PPS is the very high development and the application potential under the increasingly environmental protection field.But it is easily oxidized at high temperatures,and shortened life,lower economic efficiency,has become a constraint to further promote and need urgent research.Research group screened two treated functional nano-silica(Ti-SiO2 and D-SiO2)and mesocarbon microbeads(MCMB)and then added them to the PPS matrix by using twin-screw extruder,on the basis of the conclusion of the modified masterbatch performance,we prepared modified PPS fiber by using two-step spinning,and then by using testing instruments and methods that include Fourier Transform Infrared Spectrometer(IR),Drilling String Compensator(DSC),Scanning Electron Microscope(SEM),Thermogravimetric Analysis(TG),strengthen tester,orientation tester,high temperature oxidation characterization,chemical resistance testing to discussed the PPS fiber structures and performances with different nanomaterials,different content,different drawing process.The results showed that:the three materials can good disperse in PPS matrix,and significantly improved the PPS fiber high temperature antioxidation,than pure PPS fiber,0.8%Ti-SiO2/PPS,1.0%D-SiO2/PPS and 1.0%MCMB/PPS fiber dynamic OIT were increased by 12.8?,12.8? and 10.2?,the extrapolated initial decomposition temperature increased 10.4?,6.3? and 11.1 ?,after 72h in 230 ? strength retention rate increased by 21%?12%and 30%.Nanomaterials can play the role of heterogeneous nucleation agents to optimize the aggregation structure of PPS fiber,under the same spinning conditions,the modified fiber strength has improved greatly than pure PPS fiber.The effects of modified fiber drawing process on the structure and properties,including the draw ratio,drawing temperature,heat-setting temperatures and drafting zone configuration process.Proposed the optimal spindrawing processing methods,lay the foundation for the promotion and industrialization of antioxidant reinforced PPS fiber.Under the lead of Project Monitor,with making the unremitting research,the group has signed a pilot and industrial promotion agreements with Jiangsu Changshu Jinquan Chemical Fiber and Weaving Co.,Ltd.,part of the process technology of our project has been applied to pilot production with the good market prospects.
