Study On The Technical Code For The Environmental Suitability Evaluation Of Organic Livestock Production Technical Code

The condition of producing environment is the precondition of safe and healthy cultivation of livestock and poultry.Research on technical specification of environmental suitability assessment of organic farming will be of benefit to the preliminary suitability assessment of the habitat environment of organic livestock products,classification of producing environment,avoid the risk of production,provide standard basis for certification of organic livestock and poultry cultivation,ensure the quality of organic products and provide technical supports for promoting healthy and orderly development of organic livestock and poultry cultivation industry.In this paper,we explored the suitability evaluation of the producing environment of organic livestock and poultry by literature research,data collection,consulting experts,comparative study and empirical analysis and the conclusions are as follows:1.We provided the applicable scope and main contents of the technical specification for environmental suitability assessment of organic livestock and poultry cultivation.The main function of the standard was determined.Point at the characteristics of organic livestock and poultry cultivation certification,the main target is those apply for organic certification of livestock and poultry farms or pasture,and certification of organic producing environment is the prerequisite for organic certification.2.We established and monitored the quality indicators and limits for water,soil and gas of producing environment in this environmental suitability assessment.The problems in the existing standards and the environmental characteristics of the common organic livestock and poultry cultivation were analyzed based on comparative study of the environmental standards in the quality and safety certification system of green organic animal products.Then on the base of these,we summed up the limits and monitoring methods of water,air and soil quality in this organic livestock and poultry cultivation environment assessment by reference to the existing water,soil,gas and other national environmental quality standards.3.We established the suitability evaluation methods for organic producing environment.Single pollution index and comprehensive pollution index were applied to evaluate strict controlled targets and general controlled targets,with this method,we built a strict control system for the pollution which have great influence on the health of organic cultural livestock and poultry in water,air and soil in the producing environment by single pollution index and those have relatively light influence by comprehensive pollution index.With more scientific,reasonable and comprehensive to evaluate the suitability of organic livestock and poultry cultivation envirotment,this evaluation system can provide more reasonable suggestions of the selection and identification of organic livestock and poultry cultivation farms for decision makers.
