Titanium alloy is a kind of typical difficult-to-grind materials.The grinding wheel adhesion is serious and the grinding temperature is high,which need to be solved urgently in the grinding of titanium alloy.Due to the high hardness,high strength and good stability of CBN,and the strength and hardness of the binder can be adjusted in a wide range,resin CBN abrasive is suitable for the grinding of titanium alloy materials.In this paper,in order to find a good grinding tool with good lubrication performance,good heat conduction,good heat dissipation effect,and improve the adhesion of the abrasive and the burn of the workpiece in the grinding process,the preparation of resin CBN grinding tool for titanium alloy and grinding property of titanium alloy were studied.Based on the formulation of resin CBN abrasive,the mixing process,the mold filling process,the hot pressing process and the curing process of Resin CBN abrasives were studied.And the optimum technological process for preparing the resin CBN grinding tool was determined.Using graphite,HBN and PTFE as solid lubricants,and using barium stearate,magnesium aluminum hydrotalcite as heat absorbents,the mechanical properties and grinding properties of abrasive were studied.Using water and kerosene as grinding fluids,the grinding properties of HBN abrasive,CBN abrasive and PTFE abrasive were also studied.The results indicated that:Using graphite as a lubricant,and the contant of graphite was 8g,abrasive grinding ratio was 3.80,the friction force was 35.70 N and the friction coefficient was 0.27,which had the highest grinding ratio,smallest friction and friction coefficient.The grinding process was smooth and without adhesion,and the workpiece was not burned.Using HBN as a lubricant,and the contant of HBN was 8g,the grinding ratio was 3.64,the friction force was 29.86 N and the friction coefficient was 0.22,which had the highest grinding ratio,smallest friction and friction coefficient.The grinding process was smooth and without adhesion,and the workpiece was not burned.Using PTFE as a lubricant,and the contant of PTFE was 4g,thegrinding ratio was 3.51,the friction force was 31.69 N and the friction coefficient was 0.23,which had the highest grinding ratio,smallest friction and friction coefficient.The grinding process was smooth and without adhesion,and the workpiece was not burned.Comparison of the three lubricant formulations of the grinding property,the lubrication of PTFE abrasive was the best,and the lubrication of the graphite was the worst.The hardness and strength of the abrasive with barium stearate as heat absorber would be decreased,which can affect the normal use of the abrasive.Using magnesium aluminum hydrotalcite as a heat absorbent,and the contant of magnesium aluminum hydrotalcite was 8g,the grinding ratio was 4.00,the friction force was 41.64 N and the friction coefficient was 0.31,which had the highest grinding ratio,smallest friction and friction coefficient.The grinding process was smooth and without adhesion,and the workpiece was not burned.Using HBN as a lubricant,the grinding ratio of TC4 titanium alloy was higher than that of using kerosene as grinding fluid.Using PTFE as a lubricant,the grinding ratio of TC4 titanium alloy was higher than that of using water as grinding fluid.When PTFE abrasive for TC4 titanium alloy with kerosene as grinding fluid,the surface of workpiece was the best.
