Study On Automatic Sampling System For Drilling Cuttings

Drilling cuttings refers to the rock fragments brought by drilling fluid which are broken by drilling bit in the process of oil drilling.It is a very important geological data because it can directly reflect the condition of the underground.The way to get the drilling cuttings by human for a long time in our country,but it’s defects,such as high intensity and low efficiency,has been unable to meet the needs of rapid drilling and the development of logging industry automation.In order to realize automatic logging,and according to the requirements of the project of automatic cleaning equipment for drilling cuttings,we make analysis and calculation of the key technology of drilling cuttings sampling system,and developed automatic samling system for drilling cuttings.The system is mainly composed by sampling pump,Shale shaker and return pump,it can extract drilling fluid which blend debeis from elevated trough by maneuver mode,then the drilling fluid returns to the mud pool after separation.The debris which are took by the system are easy to clean,and have strong representation,it can good reflect the continuity of geological section;the connection of the system and logging platform system can achieve closed-loop control,it can meet the requirements of logging cuttings weight.The field test results show that the performance indexes meet the design requirements and have practical value.
