Nowadays,air pollution has become a hot topic of the whole society,and the air quality directly affects people’s physical and mental health.This thesis,which takes the carbon emission as an example to analyze the influence on air pollution of such factors as population,economy and technology,is based on the serious air pollution of Beijing-Tainjin-Hebei region.In addition,this thesis studies the influence of population on carbon emission from the view of the characteristics of the population change of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region from the year 1990 to 2014.By the means of IPCC,the carbon emission of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region is calculated in order to make a description of the change and characteristics of it.Through the data of the population,economy and technology and the carbon emission of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region from 1990 to 2014,the IPAT and the STIRPAT models are employed and the SDA and the Meterage Regression methods are adopted respectively to make an empirical analysis from the aspects of the contribution and the positive and negative effects of the influencing factors.The results have shown as follows.First,the population size,in a less marked degree,has limited influence on the change of the carbon emission.Second,the population urbanization rate and the working population rate of secondary and tertiary industries,which present as positive and negative effects respectively,exert a significant impact on the change of the carbon emission.Third,the number of civil motor v ehicles and the carbon intensity has a positive effect on the carbon emission.Last but not least,the per capital consumption level is associated with the carbon emission in a inverted U shape.The contribution of the population size,which is far below the per capital GDP and the technological progress of the carbon emission,is limited on the carbon emission.To sum up,this thesis makes a thorough and detailed analysis of the above research findings of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and some relevant suggestions are put forward by considering the real situation.
