Study On Design And Performance Of Solvent-free Epoxy Self-leveling Products

Epoxy self-leveling heavy-duty floor coating has the advantages of high hardness,good abrasion resistance,strong adhesion,cheap reactants,excellent performance,good coating adhesion,strong wear resistance,no crack,resistant to chemical corrosion,etc,is widely used in the application of industrial floor.Solvent based coating accountes for the largest market shares in epoxy anti-corrosion coatings,whereas conventional solvent epoxy coatings use aromatic hydrocarbons,esters,ketones as solvents,which is toxic,causes the environmental pollution after volatiled.With good thermal stability and electrical insulation,no volatile organic compounds(VOC)emissions,solventless epoxy self-leveling heavy-duty floor coating not only has excellent water resistance,abrasion resistance,oil resistance and chemical corrosion resistance and other properties,but also has merits of good adhesion,high mechanical strength,low cured film shrinkage rate,smooth surface,insulated and no combustion-supporting,more safe and reliable storage,transportation,construction,first painting into a thick film,etc.As a result,it is widely applied in production workshop,warehouse,laboratory of electronics,pharmaceutical,textile,chemical,medical,food,machinery and other industries’ floors coating.This paper studied that the compositions of the floor coating,such as epoxy resin,curing agent,fillers,additives and reactive diluent,had all sorts of performance characteristics and effect on the properties of the coating.Combined with the physical properties,allocated floor coating was applied in on-site construction.The effects of packing component on the physical properties and chemical properties of the paint film were investigated.It was also studied that the construction environment temperatures effected on product activation periods.It was a certain guiding significance for engineering applications attributed to determined systematic construction technology of solvent-free self-leveling epoxy floor coating and solutions for product floating problem.This paper gets the following conclusion: bisphenol A epoxy resin(YD-128)is a kind of low price small molecules solvent-free resin,suitable for solvent-free self-leveling.The appropriate wetting dispersing agent,defoamer,leveling agent,has solved most floating color,foaming,difficult flow flat problem in the product.Strict requirements of the construction technology,can effectively avoid the occurrence of solventless epoxy self-leveling various problems,to achieve the best construction effect.Combination of barium sulfate and talcum powder filler is the best packing in solventless epoxy self-leveling.It is a choice of using fitting activation period under different temperature.Floating problem in products can be addressed by increasing the amount of dispersant and talcum powder.
