| Graphene oxide(GO),a new nanomaterial famous as the derivatives of Graphene,has attracted significant attention recently.GO keeps the similar two-dimensional structure like graphene with unusual properties such as intensity,tenacity and lubricity,Compared to graphene,GO has much higher dispersibility and solubility due to sp3-hybridized carbons like carboxyl,hydroxyl,and epoxy groups,these oxygen-containing functional groups can effectively bind polymer by covalent bond and provide an efficient way to functionalize GO by chemical modification as well.GO has held many promising applications,one of the exciting possibilities is the application as filler due to its potential on improving the tribological properties and corrosion resistance of polymer,Nowadays GO has been widely used in cemnent,lubricating oil while a few study was done in the field of coating owing to the dispersion stability fit the needing hardly.In this paper,tartaric acid,the by-product of wine production,was used as the modifier for Graphene oxide,the modified graphene oxide was added to epoxy resin to obtain composite coatings,wear and corrosion properties of wear and corrosion properties was observed,the changes of wear and corrosion properties of wear and corrosion properties was analysise by the structure of the graphene oxide modified.The specific contents of this study was including such three parts:(1)Tartaric acid and Graphene oxide was used to obtain tartaric acid modified graphene,and the modified products were analyzed by FT-IR,TG,XPS,SEM and others.the reaction mechanism was used to derive modified graphene oxide tartrate;(2)The epoxy value of the epoxy resin E20,E44,E51,three kinds of common epoxy resins,was measured,ass well as the electrochemical properties and tribological properties of three kinds of the epoxy coatings.The effect of oxygen value on tribological properties and electrochemical properties was studied,and the epoxy resin with the best tribological properties was selected.(3)The tartaric acid modified graphene/epoxy resin composite(tGO/EP)was prepared by mechanical stirring and the coating was carried out with pure epoxy resin as the blank.The same method was used to analyze the tribological and electrochemical behavior of the graphene/epoxy resin composites.The tartaric acid modified graphene effects of corrosion resistance of epoxy resin wear and structural tartaric modified graphene oxide is an epoxy resin based on the analysis result in the corrosion resistance of wear Of reasons.The research results are as follows:1、tartaric acid modified graphene has a two-dimensional planar structure,compared with the graphene,its hydroxyl content increased from 4.9%to 9.4%,sp2 hybrid carbon content increased from 41.8%to 62.5%,carboxyl content decreased from 53.3%to 21.9%,while the ester bond increases from 0%to 6.2%;2、The content of functional groups and species changes indicate that the synthesis mechanism of tartaric acid modified graphene is:the esterification reaction between carboxyl groups on graphene and tartaric acid;3、with the epoxy value increasing,the anti-electrochemical corrosion resistance of the epoxy resins coating increases,while the friction coefficient and the wear rate of the coating show the similar tendency as the anti-electrochemical corrosion resistance;4、Tartaric acid modified graphene has better electrochemical corrosion resistance,when the tartaric acid modified graphene addition was 2.0%,tGO/EP composite coating got the minimum capacitance;when the amount of tartaric oxide was 0.5%,the coating resistance and charge transfer resistance of tGO/EP composite coating were the smallest;when the amount of tartaric acid modified graphene was 1.0%,the double layer capacitance of tGO/EP composite coating got the minium value;5、Tartaric acid modified graphene showed better anti-friction effect,when the tartaric acid modified graphene addition was 1.0%~1.5%,the friction coefficient was between 0.46~0.48,which means the friction coefficient decreased by about 26%;Grinding trace cross-sectional area was about 0.0093 mm2,droped about 80.1%than the epoxy resin wear scar cross-sectional area;The surface was dense and smooth while there was no obvious cracks and furrow in the addition of 1.0~1.5%;6、The reasons why tartaric acid modified graphene has excellent tribological properties was:tartaric acid modified graphene retained two-dimensional planar structure like graphene oxide while the lamellae was more smoother,which was conducive to reducing the corrugated blanket effect.And modification was an effective way to increase sp2 miscellaneous the carbon content of the composites and desearse the proportion of the oxygen-containing functional groups,which made the out-of-plane stiffness of the composites decrease,and the friction energy loss from sp2 hybrid carbon to sp3 bonds decrease. |
