Acaricidal Activity And Mechanism Of Huperzia Serrata Ethanol Extract Against Techenychus Urticae

In this paper,we have studied the acting way and action mechanism of Huperzia serrata ethanol extract against Techenychus urticae preliminarily,a formulation of which was aslo prepared successfully.The detailed results are as follows:(1)Preparation of extracts and their bioactivities against Techenychus urticae.Four kinds of solvent extracts of Huperzia serrata were prepared by using a soaking extracting method.Compared to other three extracts(petroleum ether,ethyl acetate and acetone)of H-uperzia serrata,the ethanol extract exhibited better bioactivities against female adult mites and eggs of Techenychus urticae with LC50 values 0.26 mg/mL and 0.82 mg/mL,respectively.Moreover,the ethanol extract of Huperzia serrata aslo had repellent activity,systematic action,and oviposition deterrent against Techenychus urticae.(2)Mechanism of action of Huperzia serrata ethanol extract against Techenychus urticae.When treated with Huperzia serrata ethanol extract,inhibited acetylcholin esterase and Na~+, K~+-ATP enzyme,but activated SOD and CAT were observed in Techenychus urticae,suggesting the probable targets of the ethanol extract on acetylcholin esterase and Na~+,K~+-ATP enzyme.(3)Formulation study of Huperzia serrata ethanol extract.A emulsifiable concentrate of Huperzia serrata ethanol extract was prepared successfully and the ingredients were: the ethanol extract(10%)+ dimethyl benzene(80%)+ Tween80(10%),the emulsibility,disperstiveness and stability as well as the volatility of which were detected to be up to the criterion.
