High speed,high efficiency,green and composite processing of numerical control equipment is the main direction of the development of CNC machine.China is a big country of crystal jewelry consumption and manufacturing,grinding and polishing is the key process of crystal manufacturing.It's not only related to the degree of sparkling of crystal's quality and performance,but also have a direct impact on production efficiency and economic benefits.In order to realize of crystal processing with high quality,efficient,green-manufacturing and integrate of grinding and polishing.Paper designed an efficient multi-faceted crystal grinding and polishing machine under the support of enterprise project funding,which aim to solve the situation that the current crystal processing equipment existing low precision,low processing efficiency,large operator labor intensity,serious waste of energy and other shortcomings.The main research and development work reflected as the following aspect:(1)According to analysis problem of the current crystal processing equipmentas well as the structural characteristic and process requirements of muti-faceted crystal,a four-station machine was designed,which include workpiece clamping,coarse grinding,grinding and polishing.Paper introduced the working principle of the machine.The machine adapt to grinding and polishing process of multi-faceted crystal,which has the characteristics of efficient,high-quality,green and composite integration.Used creo software designed machanical body,including the grinding motion device,a multiple station rotary table,wokepiece clamping device and a polishing device,the key components of machine was also calculated and selected in the paper.(2)Combined the concept of open CNC system with the function of PLC motion control and high stability,a four-station control system hardware platform of grinding and polishing machine with 13-axis was set up on the base of four PLC real-time interactive communication via RS485,what's more,the main circuit and control interface of machine was also designed.(3)Paper did research on the crystal grinding and polishing process,planed of the function of the control system and human machine interface.Human machine interface was designed and developed by dopsoft in the windows,including HMI basic settings module,manual processing module,automatic processing module,processing parameter input module,machine parameter setting module and grinding allowance compensation module.The PLC program write by wplsoft software on the base of machining process,achieve the purpose of man-machine interactive friendly and machine operation reliable.(4)Paper did research on NC programming technology of multi-faceted crystal,parametric programming method of crystal were derivationed for regular shape crystal,which realized parametric programming;for irregular crystal,paper studied on graphics programming techniques and methods based on CREO2.0,which achieve the goal of extracting processing parameters of any crystal and programming.Above all,the physical prototype of four-station crystal grinding and polishing machine was manufactured,applied the machine to do experiment,the result verify the correctness of the method,achieved the goal that multi-faceted crystal efficient grinding and polishing integration.The research method has reference value for the development of compound CNC machine tool,research results and its application is not only significance to improve the quality and innovation of crystal products,but also important to enhance the core competitiveness of enterprises.
