With the development of economic and the improvement of people's living standards,cosmetics has become an indispensable daily necessities.In recent years,due to the enhancement of health awareness,safety,moderate,efficacy of cosmetics has been favored by people.natural,the application of plant extracts in cosmetics has become a hot spot in the research and development of cosmetics.The vast majority of the cosmetic system is suitable for microbial breeding and growth,and the preservation of cosmetics has always been an important part in the process of cosmetic products.A total of 51 preservatives which are allowed in the “Safety and Technical Standards for Cosmetics” which is new edition in 2015 are chemically synthesized.A variety of commonly used preservatives have a certain irritation and potential safety problems.The development of high efficiency,safe,low-toxicity and mild preservatives is the direction of the current cosmetic preservatives,and searching for anti-corrosive substances from natural plants is a focus area for cosmetic preservatives.In this paper,the red pepper,gingko leaf,wormwood,Litsea cubebaensis as raw material,using solvent extraction to get pepper peel,pepper seed and ginkgo biloba extract,wormwood oil and Litsea cubeba essential oil by steam distillation.Escherichia coli,Staphylococcus aureus,Pseudomonas aeruginosa,Saccharomyces cerevisiae,Aspergillus oryzae were used as test strains,the in vitro antibacterial test was carried out by using the filter paper diffusion method to study the antibacterial ability of the extract and plant essential oil.The effects of solvent,extraction temperature,extraction time and ratio of material to liquid on the antibacterial effect of the extract were studied by single factor experiment.The orthogonal experiment was used to build the anti-corrosion system,and anti-corrosion effect of the commonly used preservatives and wormwood oil were explored.Plant essential oils and plant extracts were applied to cleanser and cream to explore their effectiveness.The results of single factor experiment showed that the optimum extraction solvent all were 95% ethanol;the best extraction time of ginkgo leaf,pepper peel and pepper seeds were 2 h,4 h,4 h;the best extraction temperature were: 65?,55?,55?;and the best feed liquid ratio all were 1:15.Ginkgo biloba and pepper peel extract had some antibacterial activity against three kinds of bacteria and Saccharomyces cerevisiae,but showed no obvious antibacterial activity against Aspergillus oryzae,and the pepper seed showed a broad spectrum of antibacterial activity against the five tested bacteria.The minimum inhibitory concentration(MIC)of Ginkgo biloba extract against Escherichia coli,Staphylococcus aureus and Pseudomonas aeruginosa was 0.025 g/ml,and the MIC of Saccharomyces cerevisiae was 0.05g/ml;The MIC of the extract of pepper peel was 0.05 g/ml for Escherichia coli,Staphylococcus aureus and Saccharomyces cerevisiae,and the MIC of Pseudomonas aeruginosa was 0.1 g/ml;The MIC of the capsicum seed extract against Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus was 0.025 g/ml,the MIC of Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Saccharomyces cerevisiae was 0.05 g/ml,the MIC of Aspergillus oryzae was 0.1 g/ml.The antibacterial effect of plant essential oil on Escherichia coli,Staphylococcus aureus,Pseudomonas aeruginosa,Saccharomyces cerevisiae and Aspergillus oryzae was studied by filter paper diffusion method.Wormwood oil and Litsea cubeba oil have had strong inhibitory effects on five kinds of indicator bacteria,but the inhibitory effect of Litsea cubeba oil were stronger than wormwood oil.The MIC of wormwood oil to Escherichia coli,Staphylococcus aureus and Pseudomonas aeruginosa were 2.0%,to the Saccharomyces cerevisiae was 1.0%,and to the Aspergillus oryzae was 4.0%;The MIC of Litsea cubeba oil against the Escherichia coli and the Pseudomonas aeruginosa were 0.5%,and the MIC of the Staphylococcus aureus and the Saccharomyces cerevisiae were 1.0%,and the MIC of the Aspergillus oryzae was 2.0%.The results of combination of orthogonal test with a variety of wormwood oil preservatives showed that the effects of the wormwood oil on the four tested bacteria were averaged,and in the middle layer of the influencing factorss.Several extracts and essential oils used in homemade cleanser and cream,the results show that ginkgo leaves,pepper peel / seed extract and wormwood essential oil in the cleanser have antiseptic effect,and Litsea cubeba oil and wormwood essential oil in cream can be tested through microbial challenge test,have a good antiseptic bacteriostasis effect.
