Essively high rate of moisture content not only leads to excessively high cost of lifting,increasing of investment in oilfield recovery,but also increases the pressure of oil field gathering and transp excortation at the same time,especially in offshore oil recovery,the size of wastewater treatment plants are limited by the size of offshore platform.Therefore,how to reduce produced water in the high water-cut stage to achieve economic development of oilfields and reduce the energy consumption of surface sewage treatment as well as gathering system has become the key to maintain oilfields' high efficiency and sustainable development,which is highly concerned by the oil industry in recent years.In the late 1990 s,a downhole oil-water separation technology was developed,which enables the oil-water mixture to separate oil and water underground.And separated rich water recycles into corresponding stratum.Only those riched oil of which oil content is significantly reduced will be lifted to the ground.This will not only save the cost of lifting and surface sewage treatment,but also improve the quality of liquid output and improve the efficiency.This paper analyses the design and the working principles of the two kinds of oil-water underground separators,they are hydrocyclones and gravity style,gives a detailed introduction of multi-cup isoflux oil-water separator based on gravity principle.Introduces the development of a series of optimizational progress of multi cup isoflux oil-water separator's structure.By analysing the factors that influence the efficiency of oil-water separation and the theory of oil droplets' movement,coalescence and dispersion.By analysing relavant theories,further design and optimize those crown separators' structures which have better separation effect in practice,for better height of cup and better inlet clearance.Establish the simulant experimental device for oil-water separator in room.By verifing and analysing the optimized structure,structural optimization appears to be effective.Considering the liquid inlet clearance of 0.5mm is the best liquid inlet clearance of the separator after the optimization of the cup height.
