Application Of Ultrasonic Flaw Detection Technology In Failure Analysis Of Drilling Tools

At present,there are different types of drilling failure accidents each year,and some oil field failure accidents occur frequently.Petroleum Pipeline Research Institute held the second session of the National Oil Wells Engineering Conference,the initial statistics of oil field drilling failure number of about 1000 cases per year.Oil drilling tools in the drilling process of the state of motion is very complex,long-term by the tension,pressure,torque,vibration and centrifugal force,while drilling fluid for a long time corrosion,damage is very serious.The use of repeated turnover will appear fatigue scars,cracks,cracks inside and outside the wall,Ma pit,piercing,strain and cutting and other defects,these defects if not detected in time,will cause the drill pipe in the underground failure,not only restricted Drilling speed,but also bring a large number of economic losses of several security risks.Therefore,it is necessary to analyze the cause of the failure of the drill pipe and to carry out effective non-destructive testing for the failure parts of the drill pipe.In order to find out the defective drilling tools in advance and reduce the occurrence of drilling failure,this paper briefly describes the form of drilling failure,the main influencing factors of drilling failure and the cause of fracture.According to the characteristics of drilling thread and the characteristics of drilling and welding,the causes of defects and the location of defects are analyzed.In view of the different characteristics of these defects,the ultrasonic testing equipment is selected and the instrument is calibrated.,The selection of the probe,the standard test block selection and so on a detailed analysis and test,to detect the internal defects of drilling tools to form an effective drill ultrasonic testing system.Through the ultrasonic testing applied to the failure analysis of drilling tools,the timely detection of defective drilling tools to ensure the quality of drilling tools to prevent or reduce the occurrence of drilling failure,indirectly promote the drilling speed,to ensure production safety.
