Large and complex auto cover die in general have a lot of pierce components, sometimes distributed across several steps. In the mold design process, assembly pierce components are generally assembled into a group, a hole needs to assemble a punching die sets, punch and punch holder. If it is oblique punching, but also needs to assemble the wedge structure, and they have strict requirements for positioning accuracy requirements, which brings great difficulties for mold design. In traditional designers manual assembly process, pierce components assembly involves tedious selection of standard parts, difficult to locate, repeatedly fine-tuning, a large number of repeat problems, seriously affecting the efficiency of the assembly work, thus pierce components research and development of intelligent auxiliary assembly design tools, assembly group punching standards has positive significance and engineering significance.Paper combines with Sichuan CITC company's CITC_ADDS project, consider from the whole process mold design in-depth to improve the efficiency of the mold design, to solve the problems described above punching class components and assembly facing difficulties, explore the punching class components group assembly method:1) Using C / S(Client / Server) mode to build the system architecture, the model pierce components, images, datasheets and other information stored on the server, to achieve a unified management file, standardize parts call; 2) Using group technology for file management, standardize names of parts, coordinate system of parts, the direction line in shaped hole and the documentation storage structure. Making it possible for using the same method to assembly different parts in group; 3) Proposing a fast screening pierce components in group method, let the mold designers freed from the tedious parts model, series, parameter matching process, greatly improve work efficiency;4) Establishing of a local surface patch discrete fitting algorithm to solve the designers assembled die sets, punches during positioning requirements, require repeated adjustment problems, accurate assembly in place without fine tune.Based on the above method was developed pierce components intelligent auxiliary assembly systems, the system according to user input hole expression parameters, automatic calculation of the assembly to meet the needs of various parts assembled position, automatic identify and fit anti-rotation surface between the holder and the punch. At the same time, depending on the hole edge input parameters, automatic screening standard parts, and record the user's choice, the next time automatically positioned on the last selected part series, with fast, easy, accurate, intelligent advantages. At last, through the practical application of the inside front cover plate of the car, proved the practicality and reliability of the system.
