Bearing is an important foundation of all kinds of mechanical part, and the steel ball is the critical components of bearings which play as supporting role of bearing and transfer loads. Steel ball is a key component of the rolling bearing, which should have long service time, low vibration, low noise, small rotation torque and the basic properties such as high reliability. To achieve those performances, the accuracy of bearing must be ensured. The machining quality of the bearing parts such as steel balls、rings、cages all have an effect on bearing vibration and the machining quality of bearing steel ball is mostly obvious. Steel ball requiring special materials in some special conditions, in order to achieve the required performance under different environmental conditions, appropriate heat-treatment process must join the production process of the steel balls which is used to change the steel structure with reinforced hardness、strength、and abrasion. So it is necessary to research and develop the suitable full-automatic production line of heat-treatment. The line which contained precise control of each furnace’s temperature and automatic feeding of material is not merely ensured requirements of the heat-treatment but also reduce manpower and increase productivity. In addition, The production line can meet a variety of models of steel ball heat-treatment processing provided the temperature of each heating area can be precisely control and the time that the ball spend in the heating zone can be easily adjust.Based on the reasons above, this dissertation aims to design a production line to satisfy heat-treatment technics of various rolling type,In this dissertation,three-phase silicon controlled rectifier power regulator and PLC controlling system are used to control the temperature part of the furnace, the production line contain 7 temperature parts,there is independent high temperature resistance wire which works as heating unit in every temperature part, the PID calculation controller in the PLC drives the three-phase power regulator to change the voltage in the high temperature resistance wire to finish district temperature control, PLC and relevant electric relay,contactor are combined to conduct input,transportation and output of the product in production line. Use the position machine to set heating temperature in every temperature part and frequency transformer change output frequency to adjust the temperature of heating district and heating time. And MCGS is position machine in this dissertation,making the whole process can be controlled,visualized and automotive.This dissertation is PLC—centered which introduce the whole production line plan design,mechanical design and relevant electrical schematic diagram, there is a brief introduction about how to choose appropriate facilities. The controlling procedure, includes the manual and automotive running program, and the network communication control by the position machine are explained in details. The combined use of PLC,three-phase power regulator and frequency transformer ensures the production line works well.
