Carboxylate silver complexes possess various structures and particular properties. For example, high solubility, low toxicity, interesting strustrues and so on. The carboxylate silver complexes with aromatic N-heterocyclic carboxylate ligands have become an important part of chemistry. Carboxylic acid with N-rings has a good ability to bond the silver ions. The metal center in the silver complexes is often surrounded by the carboxylates and N-rings to offer the stable silver complexes. This may reduce the toxic of silver ions. Coordination complexes consists of various functional organic ligands and inorganic metal centers, which gives the applications in biological activities, antifertility and enzymatic activity in the literatures. In order to investigate the antibacterial activity and the urease inhibition activity of silver complexes, nine carboxylate silver(Ⅰ) complexes with aromatic N-heterocyclic carboxylate ligands 1-9 was designed and synthesized. The following research work was done in this paper:(1) Nine carboxylate silver(Ⅰ) complexes with aromatic N-heterocyclic carboxylate ligands were synthesized by the reaction of carboxylic acid such as 2-propyl-1H-imidazole-4,5-dicarboxylic acid,2-pyrazinecarboxylic acid,2,2’-biphenyldicarboxylic acid, 3,5-pyridinedicarboxylic acid, 3-pyridinedicarboxylic acid, and 2-chloro-3-pyridinedicarboxylic acid and the respective amine ligands such as 1,2-propanediamine, 1,10-phenanthroline and di(pyridin-4-yl)amine with the silver ions;(2) The antibacterial activities of the synthesized carboxylate silver(Ⅰ) complexes with aromatic N-heterocyclic carboxylate ligands were investigated;(3) The urease inhibition activities of these synthesized silver(Ⅰ) complexes with aromatic N-heterocyclic carboxylate ligands were investigated.According to the experimental results, the antibacterial acitivity and urease inhibition activity of nine silver(Ⅰ) complexes are related to the number of nitrogen atoms of aromatic N-heterocyclic carboxylate ligands, coordination modes of silver(Ⅰ) and molecular agglomeration of silver complexes. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | Silver(Ⅰ) complexes with N-rings, crystal structure, antibacterium, urease inhibitors | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
