In order to investigate urease inhibitory activities of these complexes, wehave synthesized a series of silver complexes containing aromatic heterocycles,chloro-substituted aromatic rings and Schiff base ligands. All the obtained complexes werescreened for their activity to inhibit jack bean urease. After going over and analyzing a great deal of the relevant literatures, we did thefollowing research in this paper:(1) Five silver(I) carboxylates15with aromatic heterocycles were synthesized by thereaction of nicotinic acid,2-chloronicotinic acid, pyrazine-2-carboxylic acid,3-aminopyrazine-2-carboxylic acid and2-methylpyrazine-5-carboxylic acid with Ag2O,respectively;(2) Five silver(I) carboxylates610with chloro-substituted aromatic rings weresynthesized by the reaction of2-chlorocinnamic acid,4-chlorocinnamic acid and2,6-dichlorophenylacetic acid with Ag2O, respectively;(3) Four silver(I) carboxylates1114with aromatic rings were synthesized by thereaction of1,4-benzodioxine-6-carboxylic acid,4,4′Bipyridine,4-carboxybenzaldehyde,3-(4-Morpholinyl)propylamine, N,N-Diethylethylenediamine with Ag2O, respectively. The silver(I) carboxylates114were structurally characterized by single crystal X-raystudies and IR spectroscopy. Biological evaluation of these silver complexes as UreaseInhibitors was performed. It’s found that effects of nitrogen atoms of aromatic heterocyclesand chloro substitutions, molecular agglomeration on urease inhibitors are important. Whatwe have done will be helpful to study the matter which possesses inhibitory activity againsturease and find the excellent inhibitor against urease. | Keywords/Search Tags: | aromatic carboxylic acids, silver complex, crystal structure, urease inhibitor | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
