With the development of society and economy,the demand for iron and steel is increasing,and the growing emissions from slag and gold tailing,it has brought serious burden to the further development of the society.This article breaking is based on the steel slag and gold tailing as the main material,supplement by the appropriate proportion of additives,to find the best method to produce high performance steel slag–gold tailing composite glass ceramic,it has broad market prospects.According to the characteristics of steel slag and gold tailings,and through the preliminary experimental exploration,the total amount of steel slag and gold tailing is controlled at 90%,Selected slag content accounted for respectively85%,80%,75%,70%,65%,60%,six recipes to experiment.The heat treating regime of glass ceramics was preliminarily determined by DTA analyzer,on thermal processing of glass and glass-ceramics for XRD analysis of scanning,and surface morphology by scanning electron microscope.On the basis of this,the flexural strength,density and corrosion resistance of the steel slag-gold tailings composite glass ceramics were measured.Eventually,the optimum formula and heat treatment system for the preparation of steel slag-gold tailings composite glass-ceramic were studied.The phase of the composite glass ceramics with steel slag and gold tailings does not change with the change of the ratio of the raw materials,all of which are dominated by the common pyroxene crystal phase.The intensity of the diffraction peak increases with the increase of the amount of gold tailings.With the increase of the amount of gold tailings,the crystallite size of glass ceramics is smaller and more uniform,and the size is between 0.1-1um.The flexural strength and density of glass ceramics increased firstly and then decreased with the increase of gold tailings,acid resistance increased with the increase of the amount of gold tailings,alkali resistance is the opposite.When the content of steel slag is 70% and the amount of gold tailings is up to 20%,the properties of glass ceramics are the best,the flexural strength is 171.7MPa,the density is 2.8g/cm3,and has good chemical stability.On the Basis of the previous experiments,the optimum heat treating regime of 4#(steel slag 70%,gold tailings 20%)was studied,the effect of heat treatment on the phase,surface morphology and properties of glass ceramics was analyzed.Experimental results show: the phase of glass ceramics still does not change with the change of heat treatment system,it is still in the main crystal phase of augite and diopside as the secondary phase,diffraction intensity increases with rising temperature and treatment time and enhanced.The increase of heat treating temperature and the extension of heat treatment time will make the grains grow and become uniform and dense,but too high temperature and too long will lead to micro cracks in the samples,when the heat treatment is 120 min at 870℃.The flexural strength and corrosion resistance of 4# glass ceramics increased firstly and then decreased with the increase of heat treatment temperature and heat treatment time,the acid resistance of the samples is better than that of alkali resistance,the density increases with the increase of temperature and time,and finally tends to be consistent.Finally,when the optimum heat treatment temperature is 870℃,heat treatment time is 120 min,at this moment the flexural strength reaches 171.7 MPa,density 2.8 g/cm3,the mass loss rate after etching was 0.18%,the mass loss rate after alkali solution corrosion was 0.22%.
