| Steel slag is a major solid waste in steel metallurgy industry. This waste presents serious problems of storing site of huge areas and environmental pollution. With the development of economy and the decrease of source, how to utilize steel slag as a source is becoming an important program when the government is encouraging clean product and cyclic economy. In this paper, the glass-ceramics that was prepared from steel slag has been introduced and an idea that steel slag in high temperature is directly mould has been suggested. According to these ideas we can produce glass-ceramics to save energy and source.In this paper, more attention has been pay to the preparation of steel slag with different heat treating schedule have different influence on the properties and microstructure of the glass-ceramics. Through the DTA, XRD and SEM along with the result of properties test, a relative better nucleation, quantity and heat treating schedule were choose.The experiment results show that when TiO2 as nucleation is about 2.2%, nucleation temperature is 700℃and time is 1 hour; crystallization temperature is 940℃and time is 2 hour; in these additions, the best properties are achieved . The microhardness is 791. 8MPa, the bending strength is 150MPa, the alkaliuric ability is better than aciduric ability, the content of steel slag in this sample is 47. 5%.According to the microcosmic analysis, the main crystal phase of the glass-ceramics is diopside Ca(Fe,Mg)Si2O6, with the minor crystal phase are albite NaAlSi3O8和Na2Ca(CO3)2·5H2O. Diopside is the most important factor to the mechanical properties. When its content is higher, the mechanical properties are more excellent. Meanwhile, the appearance of the main crystal is also important to the properties. When the main crystal particles are compacted and mixed with globose and cylindrical the properties are betterThe technical that hot steel slag is directly mould has been discussed. we made a elementary economics analysis to a program based on 100~150 thousand sq. m. glass-ceramics are produced every year: total investment to project is 63,400,000RMB, the period for return on investment is about 2~3years and the profit margin of capital reaches 32. 85%. |
