Although the process of urbanization in China has been accelerating the economy which has continuing to grow at a high speed after the reform and opening up,the consumption type of environmental pollution has been exacerbating, endangering the residents' body, affecting the life quality of residents, and thereby reducing residents' subjective well-being.The high-speed economic growth which was promoted by the production type of environmental pollution, has been improving the quality of people's livelihood, increasing residents' subjective well-being.Based on the CGSS(2012)national survey data, this paper uses the method of literature analysis, theoretical analysis and empirical analysis to construct an ordered probability model. From the aspects of subjective environmental pollution and objective pollution factors, this paper analyzes how the environmental pollution has influenced the subjective well-being of residents and its transmission mechanism.?This paper is mainly composed of five chapters, these five chapters carried out a profound analysis on the main content of this paper.Chapter 1 is the introduction of this paper, summarizes the research background, research significance, the theoretical basis of this paper, the main content of the study, the general idea, the research method, innovation and shortcomings.Chapter 2 analyzes the current situation of subjective well-being and environmental pollution in China.Chapter 3 analyzes how environmental pollution influence on residents' subjective well-being and its transmission mechanism from the two dimensions of subjective environmental pollution and actual environmental pollution factors. In addition, through the stratification of samples, this paper analyzes whether there is a difference among the impacts of the environment pollution on the subjective well-being of residents under different sample groups.Chapter 4 puts forward some relevant policy suggestions, mainly from the three aspects of increasing financial investment in environmental protection, promoting technological innovation and strengthening environmental regulation, then protecting the environment, and enhancing the residents' subjective well-being.Chapter 5 draws the conclusion of this paper. This paper concludes with the following conclusions:(1)There is a negative correlation between the degree of subjective environmental pollution and residents' subjective well-being.(2)In terms of the impact of actual environmental pollution on residents' subjective well-being,water pollution is significantly negatively correlate with residents' subjective well-being,air pollution and solid pollution is positively correlate with residents' subjective well-being,which violates the traditional thought that the environmental pollution must not benefit the residents' subjective well-being.(3)The objective environmental pollution influences the residents' subjective well-being by the way of economic growth.(4)In terms of grouped samples, the effect of objective environmental pollution on the residents' subjective well-being of different income, age and inhabitants groups may be different. When the income stratification, the high social and economic status residents bear more welfare losses, the higher the income of the residents, their subjective well-being was significantly lower than the subjective well-being of low-income groups. When people are grouped by age,the effect of environmental pollution on the elderly residents is lower than the young residents. When people are divided by where they are from, the influence of objective environmental pollution is not different between the residents who are from eastern coastal areas and the residents who are from western regions. However, for the residents who are from eastern coast areas, the influence of objective environmental pollution on urban residents is worse than on rural residents. This paper analyzes the influence of environmental pollution on subjective well-being and its transmission mechanism from the perspectives of subjective environmental pollution and objective environmental pollution.Compared with most purely empirical studies, this paper focuses more on the exploration and innovation of the research perspective and value orientation. However, due to the confinement of my own level and objective conditions, the measurement method in this paper is not perfect, data analysis is relatively rough, innovation of model and mathematical analysis is not enough. There is still a large room for improvement, which will be continued to improve in the follow-up study.
